Carnival Cruise Lines’ newest cruise ship, Carnival Vista, is currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy. The ship is scheduled to be delivered in April 2016 with a 13 night maiden voyage set for May 1, 2016.
Carnival Crociere Italia Fan (visit their page for more photos) posted a few photos showing the current construction progress of Carnival Vista. Carnival Vista is one of the most, if not the most anticipated new cruise ship coming out in 2016. She will be the first new cruise ship by the largest cruise line in the world since Carnival Breeze was completed in the spring of 2012.
Carnival Vista will be bringing many new features to the cruise industry. Among them are the first IMAX at sea and the 800 foot SkyRide where passengers can circle in pedal-powered capsules. The nearly 4,000 passenger ship will have all of the Funship 2.0 upgrades and will also be the largest cruise ship in Carnival’s fleet at 133,500 gross tons.
After a season of sailing in Europe and a pair of cruises out of New York, Carnival Vista will re-position to Miami, Florida and offer six and eight night cruises to the Caribbean.

Our first cruise was with Carnival on the Fantasy in Apr 1998. Since then we have taken fourteen with various cruise lines (RCCL, Celebrity, Holland America, Princess, and Norweigan) but I think our heart will always be with Carnival. Can’t wait to cruise on the Vista as I’m sure it’s going to be a beautiful ship. I’m also waiting for my TShirt by Cruise Fever which says —If Cruising was free, you’d never see me again –LoL
