Viking Ocean Cruises christened their 2nd ocean cruise ship, Viking Sea, last week in Greenwich, England on the River Thames. Viking Sea was the largest cruise ship ever christened in London and here is a look at the historic day on the Thames.

Viking Sea anchored in Greenwich while the final preparations for the christening were made.
While standing on the ship’s bow, Karine Hagen, the godmother of Viking Sea, cut the ribbon with a Viking axe that sent the bottle smashing against the ship’s hull christening the vessel.
Immediately following the christening, fireworks were shot off celebrating Viking Ocean Cruises christening their second ocean cruise ship.
