Carnival Cruise Line took delivery of Carnival Vista today during a ceremony held at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy.
Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, gave the following statement: “Carnival Vista is a spectacular addition to our fleet and we can’t wait for our guests to experience all of the ship’s exciting new features. Carnival Vista will provide our guests an opportunity to create a lifetime of wonderful vacation memories while offering our valued travel agent partners another exciting vacation option to market to their clients”.
Carnival Vista is the cruise line’s 25th cruise ship in the fleet and their largest yet at 133,500 gross tons. The 3,954 passenger cruise ship is the most innovative ship ever built for Carnival and will sail its maiden voyage beginning on May 1, 2016.

The ship is bringing a number of new features to the cruise industry including the first IMAX at sea and a groundbreaking suspended cycling experience called the Skyride. The outdoor spaces will include a massive Waterworks aqua park and a 455 foot long water slide called Kaleid-o-slide. Also new is Family Harbor that will have special family accommodations and family concierge. The Havana staterooms and suites are sure to be a hit featuring a dedicated pool area.
