Carnival Vista, the most anticipated new cruise ship in 2016, successfully completed the second half of the vessel’s sea trials this weekend in Italy.
Carnival Vista will be Carnival Cruise Line’s 25th Fun Ship when the ship debuts on May 1, 2016. Final preparations to finish the ship are underway after the vessel successfully completed sea trials. During sea trials, the ship’s propulsion, speed, maneuverability, stabilizers, and safety features (fire suppression & life saving equipment) were all tested.
Crew members will be begin arriving tomorrow, April 12 and the ship will be officially handed over to Carnival Cruise Line later in the month once the ship is completed.

Carnival Vista is bringing many new features to the cruise industry including the first IMAX at sea and the innovative Skyride over the Lido Deck. After a season of sailing in the Mediterranean, the ship will sail a Transatlantic voyage before arriving in the ship’s homeport, PortMiami. Once in Miami, Carnival Vista will sail six to eight night cruises to the Caribbean.
