Norwegian Cruise Line announced today that they will be rolling out the popular “Carlo’s Bake Shops” to all the cruise ships in their fleet. The bake shops have been a hit with cruisers since they debuted on the Norwegian Breakaway and Getaway.
Freestyle fans won’t have to wait long as the Norwegian Epic will be the next ship to offer the bakery items starting on March 9. The bakery will be added to a different cruise ship each week with the Dawn, Jewel, Star, and Gem next in line. Norwegian expects all of the ships to carry the bakery items by the summer.
Kevin Sheehan, the chief executive officer at Norwegian Cruise Line, gave the following statement: “The Carlo’s Bake Shop cakes and pastries on Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Getaway have been a huge hit with our guests. We are thrilled to make Cruising like a Norwegian even sweeter now by offering Buddy’s incredible dessert creations to guests sailing on all of the ships in our fleet.”
Buddy Valastro is excited to continue his partnership will Norwegian so Freestyle cruisers can enjoy their desserts during their vacations.
Buddy’s rise to fame came from the hit television shows “Cake Boss” and “Next Great Baker”. His family bakery in Hoboken, NJ is known for their famous cannoli’s, Italian cookies, tiramisu, and unique cakes.
The bakery items will be available in each ship’s Atrium or Java Cafes. However, they will not included with your cruise fare and will be available for a small surcharge.
