Fares Reduced for Social Impact Cruises

Fathom, Carnival Corporation’s 10th cruise brand and the pioneer in social impact travel, has announced a special BOGO offer on all cruises to the Dominican Republic.

Week long social impact cruises to the Dominican Republic now start at only $628 per person for sailings in April and May, and $733 per person for sailings in June (plus taxes and port fees). These prices mark a 50% discount on the first and second person in each cabin.  Prices for cruises to Cuba start at $1,800 per person.

Unlike traditional BOGO offers, Fathom is extending the offer to include the second traveler at an unbeatable price. Travelers can build a community with like-minded travelers, become immersed in another culture, and work alongside one another to create enduring social impact, while also setting aside time to take advantage of relaxing and recreational activities. This offer makes it easier for travelers to bring along family members, loved ones or good friends on an incredible journey of discovery, leisure time and personal enrichment for the price of one.

Varying from economic, educational and environmental activities, travelers can participate in a wide range of exciting impact activities both onboard and on-ground, while exchanging cultures and customs with Dominican families. Impact activities include building water filters for Dominican homes; helping a women’s cooperative produce artisan chocolates; improving homes and common areas in impoverished communities; assisting arts and crafts entrepreneurs; connecting one-on-one in the homes of Dominican host families; participating in community English-language retention activities; and supporting reforestation efforts.

Tara Russell, president of Fathom and global impact lead for Carnival Corporation, gave the following statement:

“This offer is a great way for two friends, loved ones or family members to be among the first to sail on a Fathom voyage to the Dominican Republic. With our exceptional BOGO offer, we are welcoming travelers from all walks of life to unleash their personal gifts and talents and deeply impact the world.”

In addition to participating in array of social impact activities, travelers to the Dominican Republic can experience memorable recreation, leisure and sightseeing activities. Whether exploring ancient ruins, interacting with abundant marine life in the crystal clear waters to lounging in the sun-soaked stretches of surf and sand, travelers will have the opportunity to make the most of their time in the Dominican Republic. They will also have access to select Amber Cove excursions. The port will offer numerous sea and landside experiences including several beach getaways, kayak, paddle board and snorkeling tours, ATV-like terracross buggy expeditions, Puerto Plata tours, helicopter rides, fishing trips, horseback riding, deep sea fishing tours and catamaran sailings.

Fathom’s BOGO offer is available for all stateroom categories. For more information or to book, travelers can call 1-855-932-8466 or their travel professional by February 29 and reference code “FA.” BOGO is not available for online bookings on fathom.org or combinable with the D.I.B.S. promotion. Gratuities are not included. Taxes, fees and port expenses are also not included, are currently $208 per person, and are subject to change.

BOGO prices for the seven-day trips to the Dominican Republic start at $628 per person, excluding taxes, fees and port expenses and including all meals on the ship, onboard social impact immersion experiences, three onshore social impact activities and related supplies. Prices will vary by season. To secure a spot on future sailings, a fully refundable $300 per person deposit is required for all cabin categories and occupancy levels. Final payment is due 90 days prior to departure.
