Carnival Vista, set to debut in the spring of 2016, will be the largest in the Carnival Cruise Line’s fleet and have many new features that will be new to cruising. Here are eight must see features on the Carnival Vista.
Ship’s Atrium
The three deck high atrium on the Carnival Vista will be unique with a LED tower that will change colors throughout the day. This social hub of the ship will have live entertainment and be a great place to grab a drink before or after dinner.
Skyride
The first cycling track at sea, the Skyride will be 800 feet long and 150 feet above the water. The Skyride will not only give you a unique view of the cruise ship, but it will also be a way of working off some extra calories so you can enjoy that 2nd helping of chocolate melting cake at dinner.
Family Harbor Staterooms
These cabins will have a family lounge and accommodate families of five. They will also come with three hours of free in-cabin babysitting. The lounge will have large TV screens, games, and complimentary breakfast and snacks.
IMAX
The first IMAX at sea will show blockbuster and first run movies. You will want to get your tickets early on rainy sea days. Next door to the IMAX will be the Thrill Theater that will offer multi-dimensional special effects. There will also be a concession stand with popcorn and other movie snacks.
Waterworks
The largest waterworks at sea will be on the Carnival Vista. Kaleid-O-Slide, filled with stunning visual effects and twists and turns, will be the cruise line’s first water raft ride and the longest water slide at sea at 455 feet long.
Havana Pool
You will be hard pressed to find a better aft pool area than the Havana Pool on the Carnival Vista. This ultimate relaxation spot will have palm trees, thatched huts, hot tubs, colorful umbrellas, comfy seating, and the best view on the ship.

The Vista is definitely on our to-do list, however; if the casino is off-side the Atrium it will inherit the same problem as the NCL Breakaway in which the smell of cigarette smoke permeates throughout the three floors 24/7. Yes, I know NCL’s new smoking policy as of 11/01/14 – but it does not apply to the casino. Hopefully the Vista has invested in industrial extractor fans, then sign us up, please!
Joan: I have my fingers crossed with you!! On my last cruise; which was on the Carnival Liberty; the ship had certain smoking only areas; but as you and I both know; smoke travels!! Where the casino was located; smoke traveled up 3 decks!!! So I really pray with this ship that it has a adequate ventilaton system!!!
I just broke out in hives! I can’t wait. I’m waiting to see what the itineraries are for the Caribbean. Itching! Itching real bad!!!!!
I can not wait for the carnival Vista! Where will she sail from?
Very hush, hush. Called a friend of mine that works at NSA….they don’t even know…lol
Mary: I feel the same way!! I am practically drooling on my computer screen!! I can’t wait to cruise this ship next year!
Miami is her home port.
🙁 I voted for Galveston or New Orleans.
