Although the ship can sail at 50% capacity, the ship departed with only 1,093 guests on board, around 25% capacity. Social distancing is required on the ship, everywhere from the casino to the theater.
All guests were required to go through a health screening and a temperature check prior to boarding. Free masks and hand sanitizer was given to all staterooms.
The Windjammer buffet is open but the crew members will serve each guest.
Quantum of the Seas will spend the next four months sailing cruises out of Singapore without any port stops.
Royal Caribbean will be able to resume cruises out of U.S. ports once they receive approval from the CDC. They currently have all cruises canceled through the end of the year and it’s unknown at this time when they will receive approval to sail again.
