Carnival Cruise Line’s largest cruise ship ever, Mardi Gras, is scheduled to debut in early 2021 and a few videos were taken showing construction progress from inside the vessel.
The Cuban-themed Havana Bar, a homage to the historic capital, will offer custom cocktails and live Latin music (located on Deck 8).
Camp Ocean kids will be the largest play area in Carnival Cruise Line’s fleet and the adjacent Dr. Seuss Bookville, part of the line’s exclusive partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises (Deck 4).
Limelight Lounge will feature live music and other entertainment options (Deck 7).
The luxurious Cloud 9 Spa will be among the largest health and wellness centers at sea (Deck 6).
Workers also continue finalizing the installation of BOLT, the first roller coaster at sea, as well as 2,600 staterooms, including 180 suites across 11 different categories. Mardi Gras’ six themed zones are also taking shape, including restaurants from Emeril Lagasse, Guy Fieri, Rudi Sodamin and Shaquille O’Neal.
The first cruise ship in North America powered by Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), Mardi Gras is scheduled to enter service February 6, 2021, from Port Canaveral, Fla., operating week-long itineraries to the Caribbean.
