Royal Caribbean is giving parents with young children extra peace of mind when they sail on the two largest cruise ships ever built.
The cruise line’s Find My Kid, a service that allows parents to see exactly where their kids are on a cruise ship, has debuted on a second ship.
Find My Kid is now available on Legend of the Seas, the cruise line’s newest ship that made its debut this past weekend. The service first came out on sister-ship Star of the Seas last summer.
Find My Kid
So how exactly does Find My Kid work on these two Royal Caribbean cruise ships?
For $14.99, parents can buy an Adventure Ocean WOW Band for kids ages three to 12 years old. They can then enable the Find My Kid feature in the Royal Caribbean app to track the location of their kids on the ship’s deck maps at any given time.

Parents can also give access, if they choose, to other guardians on the ship.
The band has a few other features apart from being a tracker. The band’s snap closure also shows the child’s muster location in case of an emergency. The band can also be used to unlock cabin doors and to make purchases on board the ship if a parent authorizes it.
How to Register Your Kids
- Register your kids at Adventure Ocean once onboard
- Purchase your Adventure Ocean WOW Band for $14.99 each
- Sign up for the Find My Kid feature
The bands are reusable and can also be used free of charge on future Royal Caribbean cruises.
How to Use Find My Kid
- Open the Royal Caribbean app and connect to the ship’s WiFi
- Tap the Find My Kid icon in the app’s navigation
- Start seeing your kid’s location in public areas on the ship and your stateroom through the app’s deck maps
