Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises have canceled all cruises through February 28, 2021. This is a two month extension of their current pause in operations.
Exceptions to the canceled cruises are Quantum of the Seas out of Singapore and China departures on Spectrum of the Seas. They will continue to sail as scheduled. All other cruises on the cruise lines are canceled until the beginning of March 2021.
Royal Caribbean said that they are working tirelessly to offer a safe and healthy return to cruising. They are working with the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and taking a very thorough approach and, therefore, require a little extra time.
Those who are booked on one of the newly canceled cruises will have the choice of a full refund, 125% Future Cruise Credit, or they can move their sailing to a qualifying cruise next year and have their fare/promotion protected.
The last Royal Caribbean cruise ships to depart from a U.S. port was on March 13, 2020.
This news of more canceled cruises comes after Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings canceled all cruises through the end of February. The two cruise companies are working together and have created the Healthy Sail Panel as they put their efforts to resume sailings.
Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises are a part of Royal Caribbean Group.
