Parts of Royal Caribbean’s New and Improved Private Island Open Tomorrow

In 50 days, Royal Caribbean fully opens Perfect Day on their private island in the Bahamas, CocoCay.  Perfect Day promises to raise the bar on what a beach day can be on a cruise.

However, you won’t have to wait 50 days for all of the new features the cruise line has been adding to CocoCay.  Starting tomorrow, the Snack Shack, Chill Grill, and the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean (Oasis Lagoon) open.

What else is Royal Caribbean adding to their private island?

The biggest wave pool in the Caribbean and the tallest waterslide in North America — the 135-foot Daredevil’s Peak — are just two of the thrills you will be able to enjoy on CocoCay.

A tethered helium balloon takes adventure to new heights, offering Caribbean views from up to 450 feet above the island.

You can jam out to live music, snack on chicken wings and crispy steak fries, and settle into a rope swing seat with a drink from the rowboat bar.

Royal Caribbean’s largest Splashaway Bay yet has more fun by the gallon than ever before, including five waterslides and two massive drench buckets, all complimentary.

Perfect Day at CocoCay’s Oasis Lagoon, the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean, is the first feature to be completed in anticipation of the transformed private island’s grand opening in May 2019.

The cruise line is also in the final stages of completing a pier on the island that will eliminate the need for tenders.

Nine Royal Caribbean cruise ships will be stopping at Perfect Day on CocoCay on select itineraries over the next two years.  They include Allure of the Seas, Enchantment of the Seas, Grandeur of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas, Mariner of the Seas, Navigator of the Seas, Oasis of the Seas, Rhapsody of the Seas, and Symphony of the Seas.

  1. Sir, you really should have researched this information before posting. This water park and slides are not complementary. You are misleading the public with this false information. Also, your list of cruise ships that will visit are incomplete as well. Anthem of the Seas is going to visit as well. I’m quite sure other ships will visit as well. Please double check information before writing articles like this.

  2. Anthem of the seas is scheduled to go to Cococay on 3/26. Will it be available to us? I see your list does not include anthem. I do know the cruise before us was changed to Miami.
