Norwegian Cruise Line sent out an email to travel agents informing them of a new auto cancel process for cruises that are not paid in full at the time of final payment.
The email to Norwegian’s travel partners listed the following change that will go into effect on January 1, 2019:
“Effective Jan 1, 2019 NCL will put in place an auto cancel process for bookings not paid in full at the time of final payment. Three notifications will go out:
- 10 days prior to final payment due date as a reminder is coming due
- 5 days prior to final payment due date
- 1 day after payment due advising booking will auto cancel within 48 hours if not paid in full”
Final payment dates for cruises on Norwegian Cruise Line are as follows. For cruises six days or less, the final payment date is 90 days prior to sailing. For cruises seven days or more, the final payment date is 120 days prior to sailing. The Haven and all holiday sailings have a final payment date of 120 days prior to sailing.
