If you are looking to take a cruise to Montreal, Canada, in 2028, Holland America Line will feature more visits to the city than any other cruise line.
Holland America Line has opened bookings for its cruises to Canada and New England in 2028 that will set sail between May and October. Both Volendam and Zuiderdam will sail cruises ranging from seven to 14 days in length.

The ships will homeport in Montreal, Quebec City, Boston, New York, and Fort Lauderdale on these cruises to the Northeast.
The destination experience will extend on board the ships through regional dining, local entertainment, and destination-focused programming.
From fresh Atlantic seafood and local specialties to performances by regional musicians like Breton Thunder, guests can continue connecting with the culture and traditions of Canada & New England throughout the cruise.
Select itineraries feature late-night calls in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, and Saint John, New Brunswick, along with overnight stays in Quebec City, giving guests more time to experience the destinations ashore.
Different itineraries just announced by Holland America Line include:
- 7-Day Canada & New England
- 9-Day Lighthouse & Harbors of Canada & New England
- 10-Day Canada & New England: Québec & Newfoundland
- 10-Day Canada & New England: New France & Newfoundland
- 11-Day Canada & New England Circle: Maritimes & New France
- 14-Day Canada & New England: Atlantic & Colonial New England
- 14-Day Canada & New England: Atlantic Coast & Quebec
The cruises will offer access to five national parks, seven UNESCO World Heritage sites, and ports larger cruise ships often cannot reach.
Throughout the season, guests may spot various wildlife like beluga whales in the Saguenay Fjord, humpback, finback, and minke whales throughout Atlantic Canada, and puffins along Newfoundland’s rugged coastline.

Paul Grigsby, vice president of revenue planning and deployment for Holland America Line, gave the following statement:
“One of the things guests love most about Canada & New England is that you can experience the feel of Europe without crossing the Atlantic. From the French influence of Montréal and Québec City to the maritime traditions of Atlantic Canada, the region offers an extraordinary mix of culture, history and natural beauty. We also bring those destinations to life on board through local entertainment, regional dining experiences and destination-focused programming, so the journey is just as immersive as the places we visit.”
