The first cruise ship has returned for a day visit in St. Maarten as the Caribbean islands continue to rebuild after being devastated by the hurricanes in September.

Viking Cruises’ Viking Sea became the first cruise ship to visit St. Maarten in over two months when the vessel docked at the cruise port earlier today. This marked the reopening of the St. Maarten Port Harbor.
Now that Port St. Maarten is offically reopen, cruise lines will slowly begin returning to what is one of the most popular cruise ports in the Caribbean. Royal Caribbean will return on December 17 when Grandeur of the Seas stops at the island. The cruise line will then make 5 additional visits on four different cruise ships to St. Maarten before the end of the year.
Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, and Holland America Line are all scheduled to return to St. Maarten in January 2018. Celebrity Cruises will return on February 6, 2018.
