Disney’s Cruise Ship With a Roller Coaster Arrives in Florida for the First Time

Disney Cruise Line’s newest and largest cruise ship, Disney Adventure, arrived in Florida for the first time this week when the vessel stopped at Port Canaveral.

Disney Adventure

Disney Adventure is the cruise line’s first ship over 200,000 gross tons in size. Although the ship is currently in Florida, it will not offer cruises from the state or region.

The new cruise ship’s final destination is Asia, where Disney Adventure will sail three- and four-night cruises from Singapore starting on March 10, 2026.

Disney Adventure draws on over 100 years of Disney storytelling from Disney, Marvel, and Pixar to bring to life the first Disney Cruise Line ship for families in Asia.

The ship has the longest roller coaster at sea spanning over 820 feet. It’s part of Marvel Landing, a fun-filled adventure zone on the top deck.

Marvel Landing is one of seven themed areas on Disney Adventure. They are:

  • Disney Imagination Garden – The heart of the ship with 100 years of Disney storytelling
  • Disney Discovery Reef – Expansive open-air retreat with tales from The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, Lilo & Stitch and Luca
  • Toy Story Place – Water park for families
  • Marvel Landing – Fun-filled adventure zone
  • Wayfinder Bay – A Moana themed aft pool deck
  • San Fransokyo Street – Where San Francisco meets Tokyo
  • Town Square – Dining, cafes and shops

It’s a one-of-a-kind ship for Disney Cruise Line and the only one in its class. The vessel was originally going to sail as Global Dream until the parent company when bankrupt and Disney purchased the partially completed ship in 2022.

Disney has spent the last several years completing the ship and turning it into the ultimate Disney ship. The ship is now complete and will sail its maiden voyage in seven weeks.

Disney Adventure is part of Disney Cruise Line’s multi-year expansion plan, which will introduce Disney cruises to new audiences around the world, further establishing the brand as a global ambassador for Disney stories.
