A cruise ship departed on a 136-day sailing that started in Tokyo, Japan and will end in New York City on May 29, 2025.
This 136-day cruise from luxury cruise line Silversea is taking place on their Silver Dawn ship. The 2025 World Cruise, Controtempo will visit 59 destinations in 30 countries over the course of the next four and a half months.
On every port visit, passengers will be given a different perspective through the eyes of local and authentic experiences.
Port visits include some of the world’s most iconic cities (Tokyo and Paris) as well as off-the-beaten path destination. 19 of the port visits will be new to a Silversea world cruise.
The cruise will feature the following seven exclusive events:
- A Washoku lunch in Tokyo
- Sunset cruise in Vietnam on the rivers of Hoi An
- Exclusive access to the Sky Park Observation Deck in Singapore for a private culinary discovery
- Dinner between the dunes in Namibia
- Gala dinner at Marie Antoinette’s house in France and private access to Versailles
- Photo exhibit in Stockholm accompanied by Scandinavian chefs alongside a soudtrack of ABBA
- Iconic music festival at Boston Symphony Hall
