When Cruise Lines Are Returning to Closed Cruise Ports in the Caribbean

Several of the most popular cruise ports in the Caribbean have been closed since Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria caused extensive damage to some of the islands.

A little less than two months ago, we reported that several Caribbean cruise ports were closed indefinitely that included St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Grand Turk, and San Juan.

After months of rebuilding, cruise lines have announced when they are resuming cruises to these ports.  Here is the latest scheduled return to each port by the mainstream cruise lines.

St. Thomas

  • Holland America Line – November 8, 2017
  • Princess Cruises – November 12, 2017
  • Royal Caribbean – November 30, 2017 (the first Royal Caribbean ship returned on November 10, but all scheduled calls will operate as planned come November 30)
  • Carnival Cruise Line – January 9, 2018

St. Maarten

  • Royal Caribbean – December 17, 2017

San Juan

  • Carnival Cruise Line – November 30, 2017
  • Royal Caribbean – November 30, 2017
  • Holland America Line – December 7, 2017
  • Costa Cruises – December 17, 2017
  • Seabourn – December 18, 2017
  • Princess Cruises – December 20, 2017

Grand Turk 

  • Carnival Cruise Line – November 1 , 2017
  • Holland America Line – November 6, 2017
  • AIDA Cruises – November 9, 2017
  • Princess Cruises – December 15, 2017
  • P&O Cruises UK – December 17, 2017
  • Costa Cruises – December 23, 2017

Note: Not all cruise lines have released schedules for returning to these cruise ports.  Cruise Fever will have all updates when cruise lines announce return dates to closed ports.
