Carnival Cruise Line was the first cruise line to add an IMAX theater on board their cruise ships with the debut of the Vista class ships.
The first two Vista class ships, Carnival Vista and Carnival Horizon, both have an IMAX theater. Carnival Cruise Line’s senior cruise director John Heald said that the third Vista class ship will not have one.
Carnival Panorama is scheduled to enter service in 2019 and will be the third Vista class ship from Carnival. What will take the place of the IMAX on Carnival Panorama? That detail has yet to be announced by Carnival.
Heald posted the following message on Facebook hinting at some upcoming news from Carnival Cruise Line:
“Obviously I cant tell you too much yet but news coming soon will include:
Exciting times in dry dock. News coming soon.
The dancing of the ships for 2020. News coming soon.
Big contests here. News coming soon.
Who will the Cruise Director for the Carnival Panorama be. News coming soon.
What will the Carnival Panorama have instead of the IMAX Theater her sister ships have? News coming soon.”
Carnival Panorama will begin sailing from Long Beach, California in December 2019. The ship will sail seven night cruises to Mexican Riviera.
