Carnival Reveals New Details on Ships Coming to Fleet from P&O Australia

A webpage for P&O Cruises just revealed some details on what two new Carnival ships will have on board as part of the cruise line’s transition.

Carnival Cruise Line new ships

Starting in March 2025, two ships from P&O Cruises Australia will transition to Carnival Cruise Line’s fleet as Pacific Adventure and Pacific Encounter are renamed to Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter.

The two ships will still offer sailings from Australia with Carnival Adventure homeporting in Sydney and Carnival Encounter being based in Brisbane.

According to P&O Cruises, the ships will provide the “same standard of service and quality, but with ‘more to love’”.

Below are some details the cruise line shared about what passengers on the newly transitioned ships can expect.

Carnival Perks:

  • VIFP Loyalty Program: Exclusive benefits like members-only fares, priority boarding, and special offers.
  • Carnival HUB App: Guests will be able to enjoy online check-ins, pre-planning, dinner reservations, and the ability to purchase additional services like Wi-Fi, shore excursions, and spa treatments.

Entertainment and Activities:

  • Fun Squad: Another popular entertainment choice will be on both ships as Carnival’s team will bring their unique brand of fun with comedy shows, trivia, deck parties, and interactive games.
  • Turtles Kids Club: A new childcare program for kids under two, featuring educational and fun activities like arts, crafts, storytelling, and dancing.

Unlimited Pizza:

  • Free Daily Pizza: Unlimited pizza slices from 11am to 4pm available every day on both ships.  After 4pm there will be an extra charge.  Other menu items will carry an extra charge even before 4pm.

Special Events:

  • Carnival Favorites: New on these ships, activities like Build-A-Bear workshops (with charges), Conga for Kids fundraising dance party, and 80s Rock ‘n’ Glow nights.

With the transition to Carnival Cruise Line from P&O Cruises Australia, the ships will keep the quality and service of P&O Cruises but add Carnival’s unique touches.

Expect new activities, loyalty benefits, and daily free pizza, alongside familiar favorites from both cruise lines. These ships will continue sailing from Australia and will offer a refreshed cruise experience starting in March 2025.
