Princess Cruise Ship Returns to Service After Popular Venue Gets Replaced

A Princess cruise ship has returned to service after getting new venues and a refurbishment during a dry dock in Singapore.

Crown Princess

Crown Princess, a 3,080 passenger ship, is once again offering cruises after receiving upgrades and general maintenance.

The biggest change on Crown Princess is that the popular Wheelhouse Bar has been replaced with O’Malley’s Irish Pub. The new pub offers comfort food that ranges from hearty burgers and fish and chips to late-night bites.

The venue with live music has seating for 134 guests, including 12 at the bar, creating a spacious yet cozy atmosphere.

The casino onboard has also been reimagined. Gatsby’s Casino has a refreshed layout, a redesigned bar, and upgraded gambling equipment with the latest slot machines.

The ship now features an EFFY Lounge and a high-end vault featuring the latest jewelry they are known for.

Lorna Warren, Princess Cruises Vice President Hotel Operations and Guest Experience, gave the following statement about the ship’s dry dock:

“Every drydock is an opportunity to elevate the guest experience, and Crown Princess’ latest enhancements reflect our ongoing commitment to evolve and modernize our onboard offerings.

“From introducing guest-favorite venues like O’Malley’s Irish Pub to refreshing our casino experience, these updates ensure Crown Princess is perfectly positioned to deliver an unforgettable season as she sails Down Under for our upcoming Australia season and World Cruise.”

Crown Princess will arrive in Sydney, Australia on January 4, 2026 for a series of cruises through the spring.

On May 10, 2026, the cruise ship departs on a 114-day World Cruise, roundtrip from Sydney.
