An MSC cruise ship caught on fire yesterday while moored in the port of Corfu, Greece. The fire broke out in the afternoon and there were no reported injuries.
The event was caught on the video that can be seen below.
MSC Lirica has been moored in Corfu since the end of January and has been out of service since the cruise shutdown last year. Only 51 essential crew members were on board at the time of the fire.
The fire started in one of the lifeboats on the starboard side of the cruise ship and all damage to the vessel remained on that side.
In the video, you can see two lifeboats burning before the fire was extinguished.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
