Viking Ocean Cruises made their inaugural calls to two seldom visited North African cruise ports this past week when Viking Sea stopped in Tunis, Tunisia and Algiers, Algeria.

The stops were made on Viking Sea’s Secrets of the Southern Mediterranean cruise, an eight day journey that started in Civitavecchia, Italy (Rome) and ended in Barcelona, Spain. Tunis, the first stop, is a dazzling mix of North African tradition and French colonialism.
To commemorate Viking’s inaugural call to Tunis, the Tunisian Symphony Orchestra played a mini concert at the cruise port for all guests on Viking Sea.

Viking Cruises will make a total of 6 visits to each of these two North African cruise ports in 2017. (four on Viking Sea, two on Viking Star) View Cruises on Viking Ocean Cruises
