Maria is expected to remain a tropical storm as it moves over the US Virgin Islands (St Thomas/St John/St Croix) and Puerto Rico late Saturday.

Current projections have the storm moving north of the Dominican Republic and east of the Bahamas.  It is also expected to become a category 1 hurricane by the middle of next week as it moves closer to mainland US.

We will continue to monitor the storm and any changes to cruises that may take place. Carnival and Royal Caribbean have cruise ships in the area of the storm but have yet to announce any changes.   It is always good to have Travel Insurance, especially during hurricane season.
