Norwegian Breakaway To Begin Sailing May 2013

Norwegian Cruise Line has announced that the Norwegian Breakaway will begin sailing on May 12, 2013.  The Breakaway will be the largest cruise ship to call the port of New York home.  The ship will begin with 22 weeklong cruises to Bermuda.  Passengers will spend a full 3 days in Bermuda docked at King’s Warf.

Reservations for the Norwegian Breakaway will being on Friday, October 17 for Latitudes members.  The general public may begin booking the Breakaway on Monday, October 17.

The Norwegian Breakaway is the newest mega ship and also the first of two ships in Project Breakaway.  The ship will hold 4,000 passengers and be a “Modern Boutique Hotel Meets the Sea”.   Peter Max, one of America’s most popular living artists, has been commissioned to paint the hull art on the ship.  He will be the most famous person to ever paint hull art on any of Norwegian ships.
