Cruise Ship With a Go Kart Track Begins Cruises Out of Miami

Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest and largest cruise ship, Norwegian Bliss, will begin offering cruises to the Caribbean starting today.
Norwegian Bliss will offer seven-day cruises to the Eastern Caribbean with calls to St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; and Nassau, Bahamas through March 30, 2019. In April, she’ll cross the Panama Canal, returning to Los Angeles for select sailings to the Mexican Riviera before moving to Seattle to meet her sister ship, Norwegian Joy, who will make her U.S. debut on April 25, 2019. Norwegian Bliss will thrill and excite guests from Miami with the largest competitive race track at sea, a first for any North America-based cruise ship. The two-level electric-car race track sits at the top of deck 19, offering guests amazing views while twisting and turning at a speed of up to 30 miles per hour. After a thrilling ride, guests can then test their agility at the open-air laser tag course, or race side-by-side on the Aqua Racer waterslide at the expansive Aqua Park, with two multi-story waterslides, one of which extends over the edge of the ship and loops down to the deck below.

Aboard Norwegian Bliss, culinary enthusiasts can savor new exclusive specialty dining and bar concepts such as the debuting Texas smokehouse – Q, the cruise line’s first full-service Starbucks store at sea, and Coco’s – a chocolate and sweet treats shop. At The District Brew House, guests can enjoy a variety of craft cocktails and beers, including local Seattle favorites from Red Hook Brewery.

Following a record-setting inaugural season of Alaska cruises from Seattle and a month-long period of voyages to the Mexican Riviera from Los Angeles, Norwegian Bliss continues to break records from port-to-port. She is the largest cruise ship to be christened in Seattle, homeport in Los Angeles and call to Vancouver and San Francisco. Norwegian Bliss is also the largest cruise ship to traverse the Panama Canal from both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans.
