In 2021, Dream Cruises will debut their first Global Class cruise ship that will have a theme park with a roller coaster. The ship will come in at 204,000 gross tons and will be able to carry up to 9,500 passengers at peak occupancy.
Production of this 204,000 gross ton cruise ship, which will measure 342 meters long and over 46 meters wide, is taking place in parallel in Wismar and Rostock. The cruise ship will be the largest ever built in Germany. A total of around 600 companies will be involved in the construction process.
The Global Class ships are designed for the rapidly growing Asian cruise market and will join the Dream Cruises award-winning fleet, allowing Dream Cruises to offer cruises all over the world to become “Asia’s Global Cruise Line”. Amenities will include a theme park featuring a roller coaster with virtual reality, a Cineplex, Asian spa in addition to a Western spa, ample shopping facilities as well as authentic Asian and international dining experiences and fast food restaurants.
Her 2,500 cabins will be able to accommodate up to 5,000 passengers on a twin share basis and can cater for up to 9,500 passengers during peak holiday periods. As safety is of primary concern at Dream Cruises, sufficient life-saving facilities and ample width of fire stairs will ensure the well-being of all guests on board the new Global Class vessel.
Cabins will be able to sleep three to four guest each and have two bathrooms making them perfect for families.
The ship will have 28 elevators and eight sets of escalators.
The cruise line posted the following video on Facebook about the cabins on the Global class ships. You will be able to open your cabin using your smartphone and the staterooms will have voice control for lights.
The ship will sail from of the West Coast of the U.S. part of the year. During the summer the vessel will sail from Shanghai and Tianjin and also offer cruises from New Zealand and Australia.
That is crazy. I can’t imagine even getting around a ship that holds that many people. I can’t imagine being on a ship with 9500 people. I like the ships that hold around 2500. How do they feed that many at one time? I would never book that ship.
Still smaller than Oasis class, but can carry almost 2x the number of guests when required? Shoulder to shoulder to shoulder. No way.
Way too big, dout I would ever book.
