Cruise lines have made a few adjustments to cruise itineraries as a result of the hurricane.  The Norwegian Gem stayed overnight in Nassau, Bahamas and bypassed a stop at Norwegian’s private island, Great Stirrup Cay.

Royal Caribbean also made a couple changes to cruise ships that are in the area.  Stops at their private island, Coco Cay, were canceled on the Majesty of the Seas, Grandeur of the Seas, and Enchantment of the Seas.  The ships either had an extra sea day or headed to Nassau early.

The Carnival Splendor will no longer stop in the port in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada but will sail to Kings Warf, Bermuda instead for the 4 night cruise out of New York.

No cruises have been canceled as a result from Hurricane Arthur.

The storm is currently off the coast of Georgia and is expected to remain a hurricane as the storm moves north past New England and into Canada.  Tropical storms become hurricanes when the maximum sustained winds exceed 74 mph.

Hurricane Arthur is expected to move north off of the Florida coast and most computer models do not have the storm making landfall, although the storm is expected to brush by the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Cruise Fever will update this page if any other cruise ships from Carnival, Disney, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, or any other cruise line have to make itinerary changes due to the hurricane.
