Cruise Deals Heat Up As Wave Season Kicks Into High Gear

If you are looking to beat the winter blues and get away from the cold, Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Celebrity, Princess, are among the cruise lines that are offering a variety of cruise deals as the 2014 Wave Season kicks into high gear.

Wave Season takes place between January and March and is not only a time when cruise lines offer great cruise deals, but also when a large percentage of cruisers book their next cruise.   The combination of great prices and amenities and cold weather across much of the country are the main reasons for the spike in bookings.

Here is a list of deals and promo codes that is being offered by each cruise line and the booking window for each one.  Some specials are only available for a couple weeks and others for several months.

Royal Caribbean is offering an onboard credit promotion when passengers will receive up to $300 in credit for each stateroom booked.  They are giving you $75 credit for an ocean view room, $150 for balconies, and $300 for suites.  Use the promo code YOURWOW to take advantage this special promotion that is good until February 28, 2014.

Carnival Cruise Line is offering up to $400 off Fun Select rates, free upgrades, and a low $50 per person deposit.  This offer is good for all short cruises that are within 3 months of sailing and long cruises that are within 5 months of sailing.  The rate codes to take advantage of this promotion is FIT-PDS & Groups-PD.

Carnival is also offering Early Saver rates that come with free upgrades and a $50 per person deposit.  This offer is good for the same cruises as the Fun Select special and the rate codes to take advantage of these deals are FIT-PPB & Groups-PPC.   The booking window for both of these Carnival deals runs from January 20-31, 2014.

Celebrity Cruises is offering a 1, 2, 3 Go Sale where you can choose from one of three great offers.  The choices to choose from are the free beverage package, free gratuities, or onboard credit of up to $300 per cabin.  They are also offering a free non-alcoholic beverage package as well as a free internet package.  This Celebrity special runs until February 28, 2014.

Princess Cruises is offering up to $200 to spend on shore excursions, a free 8×10 framed photo ($50 value), and a free bottle of wine ($30 value).  Princess started this promotion 2 days after Christmas and it will run until February 28, 2014.

Norwegian Cruise Line is offering a free stateroom upgrade on most sailings.  They are also offering $100 in onboard credit for any sailing on their newest cruise ship, the Norwegian Getaway, on 7 night cruises to the Eastern Caribbean.  The Getaway offer also includes free balcony upgrades.

Norwegian is also offering 50% reduced deposits, over $300 in e-coupons that can be used on the ship, and up to $1,000 in air credits when booking airfare and the cruise together.  Promo codes for these cruise deals (E-Coupons, reduced deposits, & upgrades) are 14WAVE & UPGRADE and they are good until April 4, 2014.

Holland America is offering a free Signature Beverage Package on select 2014 cruises to Europe. They are also offering up to $400 in onboard credit per stateroom for 2014 Alaska Land & Sea Journeys cruises.  Also included in these deals are 50% reduced deposits and free or reduced fares for 3rd and 4th guests in a stateroom.  Promo codes to take advantage of these specials is ZQ, Z3, & ZT.

MSC Cruises is offering 7 night Caribbean cruises starting at $499 per person and up to $150 in shipboard credit with ocean view and higher staterooms on the MSC Divina.  Sailings between April 12 and October 11, 2014 will receive double (up to $300) shipboard credit.  This MSC offer expires on March 31, 2014.

P&O Cruises is offering onboard credit to spend on the ship for cruises booked by February 28, 2014.  P&O is the oldest cruise line in the world and is a British-American owned company that is based out of Southampton, England.

CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) estimates that 21.7 million people will take a cruise in 2014.  There is no better time than now to advantage of these great cruise deals being offered and join those 21.7 million people on a cruise vacation on the high seas.
