Norwegian Cruise Line has announced an updated itinerary for the cruise ship, the Norwegian Breakaway. NCL has previously released the Breakaway’s inaugural season, the Spring/Summer of 2013 when the ship will sail to Bermuda out of Port New York City.
Beginning on October 13, 2013, the Breakaway will sail 28 seven day cruises to the Bahamas & Florida. The ship will also sail 2 separate 12 day Southern Caribbean itineraries on January 5 and 19 of 2014. There will also be 2 “Weekend Escape” cruises on January 17 and 31 of 2014. Ports in the newly released itineraries include Freeport & Nassau, Bahamas, St Thomas, St Lucia, Bridgetown, Barbados, and Basseterre, St Kitts.
The Norwegian Breakaway is the first cruise ship in Norwegian’s new Breakaway class ship. It will be the largest cruise ship to call the Port of New York home. This 4,000 passenger ship will introduce new wave staterooms, spa staterooms, and suites where modern boutique hotel meets sea. The Breakaway will also feature the “Haven”, a special part of the ship for suite passengers only.
Norwegian Latitudes Rewards members (any past guest) can begin reserving cabins on these newly released itineraries today (January 4, 2012). Reservations will be open to the general public on Friday, January 6.

As Latitudes Members, my wife and I reserved our cabin last October 10/30/2011,
but not for the “newly released itineraries”.
We booked the April 30,2013 7-Day Transatlantic from London (Southampton) to New York City.
We will be in Germany this fall for Octoberfest, and hope to get a peek at it’s construction.
