The last few days have flown by as we have sailed up and down the Douro River in Portugal, exploring quaint towns, historically rich cities, and terraced hills in this wonderful country.
Thanks to Viking River Cruises and their kind invitation to join them on this social cruise, we have met wonderful people and journeyed to exciting places.
I will be posting a few more photos and videos of this trip when I get back, but I wanted to share some photos our cruise ship, the Viking Torgil, so all of our readers could check it out even sooner.
This ship was made especially to sail the Douro River in Portugal. Viking Torgil is shorter than the Viking Longships to which so many are accustomed, but this charming ship also has fewer cabins, making it easier to get to know everyone on board and for the staff to have a more personal experience with the passengers as well.
