Blue Marble Private is partnering with OceanGate Inc. in offering eight day journeys that include a submarine ride to visit RMS Titanic. The trip will cost approximately $105,000 per person and will be limited to nine passengers per trip. Blue Marble Private has the following description of the trip:
“Reaching depths of 4,000 metres in a specially designed titanium and carbon fibre submersible, guided by a crew of experts, you will glide over the ship’s deck and famous grand staircase capturing a view that very few have seen, or ever will. Far fewer people have visited the wreck of the Titanic than the number who have been to space or summited Mt. Everest – this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and an expedition designed only for those with a truly adventurous spirit.”
Blue Marble Private will begin offering the tours in 2018 with further dives scheduled for 2019.
The eight day journey will begin by offering time for the passengers to adjust to environment. The dive to RMS Titanic will take place on the third to sixth day of the trip, depending on weather conditions.
Three passengers at a time will climb into the submersible to see the remains of RMS Titanic up close. They will sail over the ship’s deck and have look at the famous grand staircase.
The trip will start and end in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada.
