Carnival’s newest ship is now sailing on 12 day Mediterranean cruises from Barcelona. The 130,000 ton Carnival Breeze entered service on June 3rd and will be taking its passengers on cruises to ports in Venice, Monte Carlo, Rome, Dubrovnik and more.
The Breeze is Carnival’s 24th cruise ship and also its largest, but American cruisers will have to wait until November for any cruises from the Port of Miami. From Miami, the Breeze will have sailings to Nassau, Ocho Rios, Grand Turk, Montego Bay, Key West, Falmouth, San Juan, St Thomas, St Maarten, and even the Dominican Republic.
This new flagship for Carnival offers all kinds of fun experiences on board as well, with a Waterworks theme park including multiple water slides, a 300-gallon drenching bucket, and a lot of fun for anyone who loves water parks. If nothing else the 300-foot-long corckscrew water slide will be sure to be a fun experience on board.
This is also the first Carnival cruise ship to offer a fully interactive movie experience called the Thrill Theater, full of special effects of mutli-dimensions.
Carnival president and CEO Gerry Cahill said: “Carnival Breeze represents the continued evolution of our product, offering a huge array of branded experiences for our guests and inviting public spaces each with its own personality and character, all enhanced by the spirited fun that makes a Carnival cruise so memorable.”
The Carnival Breeze makes big strides in the company’s attempt to make the Fun Ships even more fun.
According to Carnival’s website the first cruise you can book from Miami’s port will be on November 22nd for a 2 day cruise to Nassau and back. After that cruisers will be able to book an 8 day cruise on November 24th to Grand Turk, La Romana, Curacao, and Aruba.
