The discount that Carnival Cruise Lines is offering throughout May is not just for members of the military. In fact, the discount is available to active and former military personnel as well as any family members of the military. Even friends of active or former military personnel can receive discounts throughout the month of May.
Reservations must be made between May 1st and May 31st to receive this discount, but that does not mean the ship has to sail between those dates.
The rates start at just $299 per person for three to five day cruises. 6 day cruises are starting at $334, and 7-8 day cruises are starting at just $534 per person.
Most of these cruise listings sail to the Bahamas, Caribbean, and Mexico, but there is also a 12 day European cruise that starts at $949 per person, and they usually leave from the port in Barcelona, Spain.
Military personnel have to show proof of military service when booking and they must also sail on the ship in order for the discounts to be applied. In other words, a former military service member cannot buy his brother a cruise ticket and then not sail on the ship.
This Memorial Day discount to the military is Carnival’s way of thanking the U.S. military for their service.
